“ButterflyMix1”


Butterfly loves music. She plays piano, violin and is learning bass guitar. She said she hadn’t had any new music for her stereo in a while. This is the mix I put together the night after our climb up Mt. Maxwell. The mix I wanted to give her, thanks to the CD burner Carver gave me last fall in LA. It never happened. The thing never worked for me. Instead, I began listening to the mix I made after our first 13 days together over and over again. Two months later, in the guest room at my Sister Jill and bro-in-Iaw Todd's place, I’m listening to it again. Temecula meets Canada. Suburbia meets island bliss. 2 months ago feels like 2 years ago…and 2 minutes ago. And I still haven’t figured out how to make Carver’s damn machine burn music.
